Hiyuki, the Glacio miko of Ashihara in Wuthering Waves, wears a white off-shoulder kimono top with wide sleeves, a red pleated hakama-style skirt and a black obi bow. The detail people remember is her headpiece, with its ear pieces, flower pins and braided red cords. The Wuthering Waves Hiyuki Cosplay Costume With Wig Headpiece gives you four ways to buy, so here is how to pick the right one.
Four style options and when to choose each
- Hiyuki Outfit: top, skirt, obi bow, belts and accessories. Choose this if you plan to make your own headpiece or already have one.
- Hiyuki Outfit With Headpiece: the same outfit plus the 3D headpiece. This is the best value for most people, since the headpiece is what makes her recognizable.
- Hiyuki Wig: a long white wig, with a wig cap included. Buy it on top of either outfit option.
- Hiyuki Headpiece: the headpiece on its own. Useful if you already have the outfit or want a spare for photo shoots.
The wig and headpiece are One Size. Shoes and weapon are not included. For a complete look, the usual order is Outfit With Headpiece plus Wig.
Top and skirt sizing
Outfit sizes run Adult XS to XXXL, with two charts in centimeters.
Top: XS bust 80–84, waist 58–62; M bust 88–92, waist 66–70; XXXL bust 104–108, waist 82–86. Top length changes very little (43.5 to 46.5) because it's cut short and off the shoulder. Sleeve length goes from 58.5 to 61.5.
Skirt: the length is 94 in every size, so it falls long on everyone. Waist and hip are what change: XS 58–62 / 84–88; M 66–70 / 92–96; XXXL 82–86 / 108–112.
The skirt is 94 cm long in every size. If you're under about 155 cm tall, expect it to brush the floor, and plan on a little platform in your shoes or a quick hem. Choose your size from bust and hip. If you're between sizes, take the larger one. Hand measurements can be off by 1 to 3 cm. Each size also lists a height range (XS 146–152 up to XXXL 184–190).
Wearing an off-shoulder top all day
Off-shoulder tops slide. Clear bra straps or a strapless base layer help, and a strip of fashion tape along the neckline keeps the top in place when you raise your arms for poses. The wide sleeves look great in photos but catch on door handles and food trays, so hold them back with one hand when you move through crowds.
Put the headpiece on after the wig, and anchor it with the wig cap and a few pins. The braided red cords should hang freely. Tuck them behind your ears while you eat.
Where Hiyuki looks best
Snowy or wintry backdrops suit her Glacio theme, but a plain light wall works just as well, because the red skirt and white top look sharp against simple backgrounds. Game conventions, Halloween and photo shoots are all good fits for this costume.
For most people the right order is Outfit With Headpiece plus Wig, sized by bust and hip, with tape for the neckline in your bag.
