Nazuna Nanakusa from Call of the Night is a vampire who acts like she's on a permanent night out. She wears an oversized black coat with a white-lined collar, a cropped inner top, shorts, and a lilac bob with braids and twin tufts. She doesn't look formal or gothic at all, and that relaxed style is what makes her fun to cosplay. The Call of the Night Nazuna Nanakusa Cosplay Costume With Wig includes the vampire fangs, a small piece that does a lot.
What's in the full set
The two styles are Nazuna Full Set and Nazuna Wig. The full set includes the coat, inner top, shorts, belt, socks and fangs, made of polyester and faux leather. The wig is One Size with an adjustable cap. Boots are not included.
Socks and fangs are the details sets often skip, and this one includes both. The fangs only show when you smile, which suits Nazuna. Her character is teasing and playful, so a grin in photos is part of the costume.
A body chart, and a coat meant to be big
The full set runs Adult S–XXL, with body measurements in centimeters:
- S: height 158–162, bust 81–84, waist 63–66, hip 87–90
- M: height 163–167, bust 85–88, waist 67–70, hip 91–94
- L: height 168–172, bust 89–92, waist 71–74, hip 95–98
- XL: height 173–177, bust 93–96, waist 75–78, hip 99–102
- XXL: height 178–182, bust 97–100, waist 79–82, hip 103–106
Nazuna's coat is oversized on purpose. In the anime it hangs loose and off her shoulders. Choose your size from the fitted pieces instead: bust for the cropped top, and waist and hip for the shorts. The coat will look roomy, and it's supposed to. If you're between sizes, take the larger one. Hand measurements can be off by 1 to 3 cm.
Getting the wig right
The lilac bob with braids and twin tufts is what makes most people recognize Nazuna. Try it on at home a few days early. Adjust the cap, pin the braids so they frame your face, and fluff the tufts. A plain lilac bob won't do, because the braids and tufts are what make it hers. That's the main reason to buy the matching wig.
Night photos, naturally
This costume looks best at night. Neon signs, streetlights, rooftops or a quiet city street all suit the story. Shots taken at dusk, after 8 p.m., look more in character than a sunny convention-floor photo. Faux-leather details catch light well in low-light photos, so bring a small LED light if your phone camera struggles.
Practical wear
Shorts and a cropped top mean cold venues, and outdoor nights will feel chilly. Close the coat between photos and wear skin-tone tights under the socks if you need them. Dark ankle boots or platform boots finish the look. Take the fangs out before eating and keep them in a small case.
If you are pairing with a Ko Yamori cosplayer, his school uniform or casual hoodie next to her loose coat recreates the late-night walks from the series, and the contrast in their outfits helps people recognize the pairing right away.
Choose your size from the top and shorts, add the wig, and plan your photos after dark.
