Colonial military cosplay is all about the long frock coat: epaulettes, contrasting lapels, a sash across the chest, a white jabot, and trousers that look like they belong on a stage. The George Washington Colonial Military Suit Cosplay Costume sells that silhouette in red or blue, with or without the bicorne hat, so you can match a historical night or a Hamilton-adjacent party without sewing gold fringe yourself.
Four style choices
Red With Hat and Blue With Hat are the fuller sets: coat, vest, pants, jabot, hat, gloves and boot covers. Red Without Hat and Blue Without Hat drop the hat for a lower price if you already own headwear. Gold epaulettes and the diagonal sash do most of the recognition work either way.
Shoes and wig are not included. Dark boots under the boot covers keep the hem line clean.
Three garment charts — coat, vest, pants
Adult S through 3XL. All numbers are flat garment centimeters. Hand measured, allow 1–3 cm; between sizes, take the larger.
Coat: S length 96 / bust 100 / sleeve 59.5 / shoulder 45; M 98 / 106 / 61 / 46.5; L 100 / 112 / 62.5 / 48; XL 102 / 118 / 64 / 49.5; 2XL 104 / 124 / 65.5 / 51; 3XL 106 / 130 / 67 / 52.5.
Vest: S length 52 / bust 94 / shoulder 37 up to 3XL length 59.5 / bust 124 / shoulder 44.5.
Pants: S length 99 / waist 68 / hip 104; scale to 3XL length 111.5 / waist 83 / hip 134.
Size primarily from coat bust and shoulder. The vest sits underneath; if your chest is near the top of a coat range, size up so the coat still closes over the sash. Pants waist is the tightest number in the set — if coat and pants disagree, take the larger size.
Red versus blue on camera
Red reads warmer and more theatrical under party lights. Blue looks cooler and closer to some continental-army references. For a couples or group photo, agree on one color family so epaulettes and sashes do not clash. The jabot should stay fluffy and centered; flatten it and the neckline looks unfinished.
Events that suit a frock coat
Halloween, historical costume nights and stage-style photoshoots fit this polyester set. Long tails catch on chairs — practice sitting before the event. Steam the coat so the gold trim lines stay sharp.
Pick red or blue, decide on the hat, size from coat bust and pants waist, and let the epaulettes finish the commander look.
