Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them started out as the name of a textbook, mentioned in passing during Harry's early days at Hogwarts in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Four years later, Fantastic Beasts was published in the real world written by JK Rowling but credited to fictional author and "magizoologist" Newt Scamander. In September of 2013, Warner Bros announced that they would be re-teaming with Rowling on a new trilogy based upon Fantastic Beasts. Then in a jaw dropping twist JK Rowling announced that it would in fact be five films. Five!
