Medieval Templar Knight Costume: Five Cross Tabard Looks

Medieval Templar knight costume with white tunic, red cross, belt and red hooded cloak

A bold cross, a long tabard and a belted waist define this Medieval Templar Knight Crusader Costume. Its full sets add a hooded cloak, with five colour combinations to choose from. The same cross tabards are also available as tunic options with a basic belt. For an adult Renaissance fair outfit, a Halloween appearance or a group of knights, the choice starts with the cross colour and the pieces you want.

Red, Wine and Monochrome Cross Tabards

The white tunic with a red cross pairs with a red cloak in its full set. A second red cloak combination places the red cross on a black tunic. That shared red detail makes these versions an option for a knight pair: the crosses and cloaks connect the outfits, while the tunic colours distinguish the wearers.

For a wine accent, the black tunic carries a wine cross and comes with a wine cloak in the full set. The remaining combinations use a black cloak: one has a white tunic with a black cross, and the other a black tunic with a white cross. They offer a monochrome pairing for a knight group, with the tunic and cross colours reversed.

The Cloak Set and the Tunic Option

Each full set contains a hooded cloak, tunic, belt and trousers. Each Tunic Only option contains the tunic and a basic belt. All five tunic colourways are offered in both formats, so choosing a white tabard with a black cross, for example, does not mean committing to the cloak and trousers.

The gallery has a separate image for every full set and every tunic option. The opening photograph here features the full set with a white tunic, red cross and red cloak. Use the corresponding photographs to compare a particular cross tabard with its cloak combination. If you already have trousers for your medieval outfit, the tunic option gives you the tabard and basic belt to build around.

Long Sleeves and Adult Costume Options

The fabric specified for this costume is polyester. Long sleeves are part of the cross tabard design in both purchase formats. For adults, M is the smallest listed choice and 3XL the largest; both purchase formats offer the same size selection. Its sizing information is based on the tunic, with the sleeve opening identified as the cuff.

A Knight Group Built Around the Cross

For a Renaissance fair photograph, consider placing the red cloak pair beside the black cloak pair. The repeated crosses give the group a common detail, while the different tunic colours offer a way to distinguish individual knights. A group can also use the black tunic versions with red, wine and white crosses as a shared starting point, giving each wearer a different cross colour. Keep the tabards visible when arranging the group so those choices remain part of the picture.

A plastic sword, a shield and boots are additions you can bring yourself; none comes with either purchase format. Helmets, armor and gloves are also outside the supplied costume. For a sword and shield pose, hold the props beside the tabard to leave the cross visible. With the black tunic, white cross and black cloak, try a pale background for your portrait. For the white tunic and red cloak, consider a background without red so the cloak and cross remain the colour focus.
